Editorial: Message from the Board of Directors and the Executive Board
The editorial of an annual report - together with the annual general meeting - is the show stage for the chairmen of the Board of Directors or Board of Trustees and the Executive Board.
Use the editorial to arouse the addressees' interest in the content. Tease highlights, but briefly and concisely so that the editorial is read in its entirety.
Images are important - and videos offer you even more design options to anchor your message audiovisually with your target group.
Audiovisual messages in the form of videos in particular - such as those produced by the Rodtegg Foundation - require a well thought-out concept as well as sufficient planning and production time.

Looking back: Timeline with highlights from the past financial year
There are very different formats for displaying a timeline, depending on the events to be displayed. Above all, it is important to have a clear visualization that can be scrolled through as easily as possible - even on a smartphone.

Figures: Infographics and key facts
Figures play a key role in most annual reports. However, as is so often the case, the way in which they are presented is also important here. Well-designed infographics help you to convey facts and figures about your company or organization in a visual and vivid way. In this way, visually rather unattractive statistics can be livened up and made interesting through special forms of presentation.
About us: Board of Directors and Executive Board
The most important players are given their place of honor here. At the very least with a picture, their function and a link to their social media profiles - but possibly also with further information about their role and, for example, a more personal video introduction.

Financial report: balance sheet, income statement and other reports
The financial report is a central component of the annual report. In digital reports, you can highlight lines to get a better overview. The financial situation is presented here, including the balance sheet, income statement and the auditor's report.
Management report
A management report on business performance is a critical analysis of a company's financial and operational performance for a specific financial year. It includes key financial figures such as sales, income statement, balance sheet and cash flow. It also covers business developments, strategic objectives, risk assessments, sustainability efforts and an outlook for the company's future. The purpose of the management report is to provide stakeholders with a transparent overview of the company's performance and strategic direction in order to strengthen stakeholder confidence.
